Our goal is to see that the Ceilidhs in Antigonish continue and to ensure our goal we have formed a committee consisting of Shelly Anderson, Fred Alexander, Troy MacGillivray, Kim MacDonald and Junior Fraser. The purpose is to promote Scottish fiddle music, dance and song and to highlight up and coming talent. We will promote the Ceilidhs as an event that can take place throughout the entire year and not just during the week of the Highland Games.

Having Pipers Pub host these Ceilidhs is important to us. The name itself signifies the Scottish culture. The location and size are excellent and its history with hosting the Ceilidhs has become a tradition. Pipers Pub indicated from the beginning that it would support this tradition and entertainment taste of its patrons and has done this very well.

We are excited to announce a change in the way Ceilidhs are presented. Our goal is to continue the presentation of the Ceilidhs on a regular basis, however, we would like to increase awareness of these Ceilidhs through radio and newspaper advertisements as well as venue posters. In support of this awareness campaign, we are launching a Ceilidh Sponsorship Program. This program will enable businesses and patrons to contribute to the Ceilidh program. Participants will receive VIP passes as well as recognition for their support at each Ceilidh.
