Hello.
Four of us will be visiting Nova Scotia from August 13-25. Is there a performance in Antagonish during that time, please? If so, what are the particulars.
Thanks.

Hey,
So I was wondering if this was an association that a person could join and play in or what the story was. I did quite a lot of bodhran playing and singing in University while working on my BA in Celtic Studies and now I've found most of my mates all moved away. Your list of musicians all see fairly accomplished, however. I'm no pro, but I played in public pretty often back in the day and I'd love to just get playing again.

Hello from West Lafayette, IN. My wife and I have never been to Nova Scotia, however we are planning a trip this summer. Four years ago we went to PEI and the highlight was attending several ceilidhs there. We are tentatively planning to stay in the Antigonish are on July 8 and July 9 which is a Sunday and Monday evening. It may be early to have a firm schedule, but we're very much hoping we will be able to attend ceilidhs in the area on those nights. If you are able to give us any information it will be appreciated. Thank you.

Yeah, I hate that too. A typical ceilidh is 4 hours & if we're paying the same price, it doesn't seem quite fair does it?

Hello to all. The website looks great and hope all the ceilidhs go well. I am in Halifax for the Juno Awards, a great chance to take a rest and hear great Canadian music. But it is always a treat to get back to Pipers and take in the great fiddle music. Good luck!

Hello! I am getting married in Antigonish this summer and we are looking for a fun, maritime taste of celtic music to start off our reception for those guests who are coming from out of town. The date is Saturday, August 19th.
Ideally we are looking for a band/group that can really get the party started with down-east music, who could then transition later in the night to some oldies/other favourites.
We are also considering having some amazing musicians who aren't interested in staying to play other music, but who could really help us get the energy soaring and sense of culture shared!
Any ideas/suggestions or help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thank you!

Hi there, I ran across your site and thought I'd drop you a note. I am the Director of The Island Steppers dance troupe here in Cape Breton. The group consists of 8 dancers who with myself have danced at many venues large and small including the 50th Anniversary of the Canso Causeway, the Cape Breton Internation step dancing festival, The Cape Breton Fiddle Festival, Ceilidh at the creamery and many others. I just wanted to give you are name incase you have any concerts comming up in 2006 that you would like to include some Cape Breton Celic Step dancers. Were here to help keep the music here in Nova Scotia Alive. I also wanted to say congrats for the great job your doing in Antigonish and it's surrounding area!! Kepp it Up!

GREAT WEBSITE... GREAT TO SEE THE PROMOTION OF THE MUSIC YEAR AREOUND. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU FOLKS PUT A CD TOGETHER OF ANY GIVEN SATURDAY AT PIPERS.... HOST A FEW TUNES FROM EACH OF THE ARTISTS IN THE BIOS SECTION. DO YOU HAVE A MASTER REGISTRATION LIST OF PEOPLEWHO VISITED THE HIGHLAND GAMES ETC OVER THE LAST NUMBER OF YEARS. I KNOW YOU ARE STARTING WITH THEIS ONLINE BOOK, BUT IF YOU COULD HAVE A MASTER VISITORS BOOK LOCATED ON MAIN STREET DURING JULY AND AUGUST YOUR POPULATION OF CONTACTS WOULD INCREASE DRAMATICALLY.... DO THE CLAN GROUPS HAVE GUEST BOOK REGISTRATION?..... CAN YOU TELL I AM IN THE MARKETING FIELD.... ADDING A PHOTO GALLERY OF EASTERN NOVA SCOTIA, DONE TO SOME NICE MUSIC WOULD AD ALOT AS WELL.....
THANK YOU AND A GREAT JOB |
